There is an indefinable quality about this part of the world that our guests notice as soon as they arrive, and that brings them back to the Udny Arms Hotel time and again. Some say this is thanks to our warm welcome, and convivial atmosphere. Others sing the praises of our famous cuisine, and the way we make guests feel as if they are visiting old friends. Flattered as we are, more than a little credit for this unique atmosphere must go to the calming influence of the River Ythan, the changing moods of the Forvie estuary, and the joy of sharing it all with eider duck and geese. Whatever the reason, and whatever the season, it seems folk simply can't help but relax here, and for nigh on one hundred years they have been coming to do just that.

The individual bedrooms are traditionally furnished but well equipped for the modern traveller. Some rooms overlook the Newburgh Golf course and the Ythan river.

Overlooking the river, the award winning bistro is a very popular place to eat with locals and visitors alike. You will find only the best local ingredients being used, like Aberdeen Angus beef, fresh fish & shellfish from Peterhead, and organic vegetables from local farms. A large selection of wine and malt whisky is available and after dinner you can have coffee by the fire in the lounge. Please book dinner to avoid disappointment. You can also have bar meals/snacks in either the cocktail bar or the cafe bar.
By road: Travel north on the a90. Turn right at sign marked Newburgh, hotel is 2 miles, in centre of village on right hand side.
